Our work is based on current research by the BeSS Institute on the Dark Triad (narcissism, Machiavellianism, psychopathy) and Dark Tetrad (plus sadism) in leadership contexts.
Dark Triad
- Narcissism: Self-aggrandizement, need for admiration
- Machiavellianism: Strategic manipulation
- Psychopathy: Lack of empathy, impulsivity
Dark Tetrad
- All three traits of the Triad plus:
- Sadism: Pleasure from others' suffering
- Particularly relevant in toxic leadership contexts
We use these insights not for pathologizing, but for differentiated analysis and targeted intervention. Our goal: leadership that works without destroying.
